The University of Kent Careers and Employability Service

The Careers Advisory Service at the University of Kent has now changed its name to the Careers and Employability Service. This name change reflects the University's commitment to, and development of, Employability both within and in addition to its courses of study.

We work with students throughout their time at University to help them make decisions affecting their future career, to find opportunities for employment or further study and to apply for these opportunities.

We do this through a range of services. We encourage students to analyse their values, interests and abilities, help them to develop their employability skills, provide information about careers and employers, liaise with graduate employers and postgraduate study providers and offer one-to-one advice and guidance to students at any stage of their studies. All of these services are free of charge to students and recent graduates.

The Careers and Employability Service is the main link between the University of Kent and employers wishing to recruit:

  • Graduates for full-time or part-time work, permanent or temporary
  • Final-year students for graduate jobs and training schemes after graduation
  • Placement students for a year in industry
  • Summer interns and vacation students
